Mambilla Tribe Is Wiping Us Out Of Taraba –Fulanis Cry Out

The Fulani tribe in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State, has accused the Mambilla tribe of attempting to kill all the Fulanis in the local government.
The Fulanis, in a press statement released in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital and signed by elders of the community, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu , Malam Suleiman Musa, Alhaji Hassan Ardo and Alhaji Dauda Jae, lamented that over 180 Fulani villages in the Mambilla Plateau were attacked. They said over 20 families were wiped out in attacks in a week.
According to them, “More than 130 persons, including children and women are missing while over 4,000 cows were either killed or taken away. We are calling on relevant authorities to urgently intervene.”
They added that as at yesterday morning, more than 100 people had been murdered even as killings were still going on.
They accused the Taraba State Government of being indifferent to their plight. They, therefore called on the Acting President, Yemi Osibanjo, to take all necessary measures to stop what they described as ethnic cleansing going on in the state.
The Fulanis were also accused of raping and beheading a woman in Ukpenu community, Esan West Local Council of Edo State yesterday, which sparked off a protest by the youths of Ukpenu community. The victim, a grandmother who was  identified as Mrs. Margaret Udiamehi, was allegedly raped and beheaded while working at her farm in Ukpenu community.
Her throat was said to have been slit and dumped in a separate place from the headless body. The body was allegedly found by a team mobilized to search the bush when she did not return home at the end of the day on Tuesday.
The Fulanis have been accused by several tribes in the country of destroying their farmlands, as the Fulanis allegedly use their farms as grazing field for their cattle.
