How Popular Nigerian Artist, Saucekid reportedly stole over 15 credit cards in America, sentenced to Jail

These are not the best of times for once popular rapper Babalola Falemi aka Saucekid. We had earlier reported that he was cooling his heels in an American jail as a result of him committing grand theft (grand theft is committed when the value of stolen property exceeds $950).
Now, various sources confirm that he has been sentenced to two years in jail in Idaho, USA after he was convicted of stealing $15,388 (N4.8 million) using over 15 stolen credit cards.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Saucekid obtained stolen bank card numbers and identifying information for their owners.
He then encoded the account numbers onto blank plastic cards. After using an automated system to change account PINs, he was able to withdraw cash from bank ATMS and buy merchandise from stores between July 23 and 26, 2016.

Police arrested Saucekid at the Boise Airport as he was about to board a flight. He was caught with a card encoding device and most than $6,000 in cash.
He was charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, eight counts each of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, and possession of several fraudulent bank cards.
He pleaded guilty to one of the counts of aggravated identity theft after the other charges were dropped.
