The close relationship between pastor Adeboye and his wife, Foluke, aka Mummy G.O, dates back to their traditional marriage in 1965. But what many may not know is the fact that it took two years for them to have a church wedding later in December 1967. Does that translate to marrying same person twice? Debate. Perhaps the most interesting part of his love story is that young brother Adeboye couldn’t afford a weddig ring at the time and when he finally had the means he decided not to buy one! That explains why the revered man of God doesn’t wear a wedding ring. According to him, since he couldn’t afford a wedding ring then, he promised his wife later that she would never lack anything and has since kept that promise. Interestingly too, Adeboye instructed his son to follow suit.
